Important — Ontario Municipal Election Law

Contributions to municipal election campaigns in Ontario may only be made by individuals who are residents of Ontario, using their own personal funds. Corporations, trade unions, and organizations are not permitted to contribute. The maximum contribution is $1,200 per candidate. Contributions are not tax deductible. A receipt will be issued for all contributions over $25.
